Significant Web Outage Hits Many Websites and Applications

A widespread internet failure has disrupted numerous online platforms and apps around the world, and users noting troubles getting online following issues at the cloud computing platform.

The affected platforms encompass the social media app Snapchat, Roblox, the messaging service Signal, and the language learning app Duolingo, as well as multiple Amazon-owned operations like its primary shopping website and the Ring doorbell doorbell company.

Across the United Kingdom, Lloyds bank was disrupted in addition to its subsidiaries Halifax and the Scottish bank, with also reports of problems using the the tax authority online portal on that morning. Also in the UK, many Ring device owners took to social media to complain their home gadgets were not working.

Just within Britain, notifications of problems on individual applications totaled the tens of thousands for each platform.
